Based on twenty-four award-winning books of children’s literature, the lessons in The Legacy Project-Early Childhood Edition are appropriate for students ages 3-5 as well as students in grades K-2 (with some modifications). Each lesson features an excellent children's book, original music by 'Miss Emily' Aronoff Teck, and a diverse collection of multi-modal activities to engage learners while discovering the meaning and relevance of Jewish values in our communities today.
Teaching Jewish values through children's literature is a simple way to integrate Jewish life, ritual and culture in the every day lives of young children in families of diverse backgrounds. Parents and teachers will likely recognize popular titles such as Ferdinand The Bull, The Hungry Little Caterpillar, or The Little Engine That Could and can appreciate the Jewish lens these resources provide.
