The weekly celebration of Shabbat is a joyous occasion. Shabbat begins on Friday evening at sunset and concludes on Saturday evening when three stars are in the sky, often marked by the ritual of Havdalah. It is a day of rest in remembrance of the way G-d rested on the 7th day of the first week in which God created the world.
