Mitzvot (or singular form of word: Mitzvah)- The primary meaning of this word refers to the commandments given by God for the Jewish people. The term is frequently used to refer to the 613 commandments given to Moses at Mount Sinai, as stated in the Torah. Another meaning of mitzvot are the moral and ethical deeds a Jew must perform as a religious duty.
