This is a night, not just a night--
This is the Passover seder.
This is a meal, not just a meal—
Everything is in order.

Tonight is the seder, and I just can’t wait.
I’m going to help my mother (father, teacher)
Prepare the seder plate, oh!
The beautiful seder plate.

This is a bone, not just a bone—
It represents the sacrifice.
This is an egg, not just an egg—
It is the cycle of life.

Tonight…
These are apples, not just apples
It is called charoset.
This is parsley, not just parsley,
In salt water we dip it.

Tonight…
This is horseradish, not just horseradish
It tastes very bitter
This is a sandwich, a matza sandwich
With horseradish together.

Tonight is the seder, and I just can’t wait!
We’re going to help each other
