A meaningful craft inspired by Parshat Vayetze from ChallahCrumbs.com:
In the beginning of Parsha Vayishlach, the man/angel that Yaakov wrestles with informs him “Your name will no longer be Yaakov, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with men and have overcome.” This project illuminates the meaning of the Hebrew names in your family.
Materials:
Aleph Bet template
Scissors
Construction paper
White glue
Magazines
Photos
Directions:
Cut out the letters of your child’s Hebrew name (or support child's ability to do so).
Have them paste their name on to a piece of construction paper – decorating both the letters from their name and the paper.
Cut out pictures from magazines that help reflect the meaning of the name (Sarah – princesses, Aryeh – lions). Add pictures of your child.
