For The Educator, a note from the songwriter:
“This is the day the Lord has made; be happy and rejoice in it!” Psalms 118:24
This quote, from psalms, is a part of the celebratory Hallel service. Since we say Hallel on holidays and Rosh Chodesh, it could inferred that “this day” is a holiday, something that only comes around every once and a while. But Psalms can be said all the time! And we don’t know what day the psalmist was writing on. So that must mean that “this day” is today! Today is the day that God has made. Just for you!
