This lesson comes from a unit called "Do Not Stand Idly By" on www.LearningToGive.org, a resource that offers philanthropy education resources that teach giving and civic engagement. This unit's purpose: "This unit emphasizes the responsibility of every individual to strive to make the world a better place, a concept known in Judaism as tikkun olam.
